Your Security
Your Money.
Currency Online has established what we believe to be the best possible system for handling your money, providing both security and accessibility. Your account can only be used by us to exchange currencies, and only in accordance with your instructions.
All funds sent to Currency Online are held in segregated client accounts and are totally independent of Currency Online’s business accounts. We only work off cleared funds, protecting ourselves and all our clients. Your money is held in accounts with major banking institutions.
We maintain significant collateral with our banks as security for the transactions we undertake on your behalf.
There are many things you can do to increase your security when transacting online and minimise the risk of potential fraud.
Protect your password
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. If you suspect your password has been compromised, change it immediately.
Select a password that is unique and difficult to guess
Never share, write down or reveal your password or password hint
Change your password frequently.
Do not use the same password that you currently use for any other online services.
Currency Online will never send you an email asking for your user ID or password. If you receive an email asking you to ‘verify your account’, ‘confirm your sign-in details’, or a similarly worded request, or inviting you to click on a link, don’t do it. Instead, forward any suspicious emails to compliance@currencyonline.com
Always log-out after using Currency Online
Select the log-out button and never leave your PC unattended while you're logged in to the service.
Check your accounts regularly
If in doubt about any transactions, note the details and report it to compliance@currencyonline.com immediately.
Use a personal firewall and anti-virus software
This can prevent unauthorised access and viruses being downloaded onto your PC when you're on the Internet.
Keep your system and web browser updated
Manufacturers regularly release security patches when weaknesses are discovered in their systems and browsers. Check with your software provider for these updates on a regular basis.
Clearing your cache
We instruct most browsers not to cache (or store) the web pages you've seen in their memory. This prevents others from calling up the last pages you visited, which is important if you share a computer.
This feature does not work when using an Internet Explorer browser with a Mac. We therefore strongly recommend that you always clear your cache when you log-out.
Where the browser does not cache information, you may not be able to retrieve the last page you have visited by using the browser's back button.

Currency Online provides secure 128-bit encrypted links.
Encryption converts information into an encoded format before it is sent over the Internet.
Currency Online displays VeriSign (SSL) Certificates
Currency Online is a VeriSign secured site and uses a VeriSign SSL Certificate to secure your information for transmission over the Internet. Double-click the symbol at the bottom of your browser when you log-in to Currency Online to ensure the site certificate belongs to Currency Online. This will ensure you're not being duped into entering your details on a 'fake' site.
